Don't buy without a decent extended warranty November 9, 2007

Bought the Samsung PS42S5HX 2 years ago (previous model) and have just been quoted from Samsung authorised repair centre (60 non refundable quote) for a repair at 1139 (parts 899 + labour)
Considering that the TV now costs around 650 to buy new this is hardly an option.
In my opinion I wouldn't buy a Samsung plasma TV unless you get a decent warranty.
