The Greatest Picture Quality. March 4, 2010 David Mortlock (Ardleigh UK) Wow, I've had this for some time now and the picture quality has not diminished over time. My son has SkyHD and an HD screen, but I think my picture quality is as good as he is getting. Really, Really great item.
Great for SD and HD, but limited connections August 4, 2009 D. Pickering This plasma is great for standard def broadcast unlike other tv's, hd is gloriously rich and detailed however my only gripe is the limit of 2 hdmi's, and NO digital optical output.(As with most flat screens sound is flimsy.)
This tv is only 1080i however the viera picture engine re masters this so the end result is actually better than 1080p tv's I have viewed.
Blacks are solid and black, instead of blue like cheaper ones. I can
WARNING September 1, 2008 cunningmunki 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
If you are thinking of buying any of the Panasonic PX70 range then please be warned that these models have a known defect that manifests itself after about 11 - 13 months. This fault is green and purple vertical lines that appear on the screen, which apparently Panasonic have admitted is a known manufacturing fault, but they have failed to issue a product recall for all the affected models.
If you buy one, then please make sure you get an extended warranty as the fault tends to appear once the 1 year Pan European warranty runs out. If you want to know how widespread the problem is then just google the phrase ' panasonic vierra vertical lines'.
Other than that, it's a great TV, but I'd advise going for one of the PX80 models instead. Be warned!
WHAT A FANTASTIC T.V! March 4, 2008 S. I. JOHNSON (UK) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This peice of technology is quite simply amazing, the 1080i upscaling is superb, all HD formats work perfectly and are flawless even compared to full 1080i tvs, unless your an eagle or have an 80 inch screen it is scientificly impossible to see a difference.
Freeview - Brill, all channels work great with 100% signal quality.
Connections - All neccasary ports are there, a usb would be handy, but you would have to slap another £100/200 for these luxuries and besides, all formats can go throught the vga connection the television has :)
I got all this, with the avaerage life span of a plasma being 10 years for just £650 from amazon itself, thats £65 a year for a Full HD... Its the Dogs Bollox!
Good Plasma, bad specification and connection January 11, 2008 Mr. B. Cani (UK) 2 out of 19 found this review helpful
I have bought this Plasma TV from Currys and very happy to find it so cheap.
I was happy with the TV but my downe side came to the connection part and to the specification.
The TV has a Very Good Picture but thats it what you have to enjoy it.
The digital receiver is very good as well for time being and the auto configuration on the setting it really work amazing well.
If you have a shop or want to have this TV for diplay only it is the best but if you want to connect more HI-FI or other home gadgets I wish you luck with it.
I would not recomend for a home user as it need more connection, like sound out, or jack-phono out, s-video connection and other connection.
I have this TV for a months now but regreat it that I bought and will try to sell it probably.
I will recommend buy a Samsung as they are on the market and have better specification like PIP and more extra connection.
Good Picture bad specifiaction and not enough connection.
